What we won't be wearing in Germany
What is that, you ask? Well that, my friends, is a replica of the "limited edition" US Soccer jersey that was worn by the US team in their final pre-World Cup friendly against Latvia that was played on May 28th. US Soccer had a link on their web site on May 22nd announcing that you could "pre-order" the jersey from the US Soccer Store and that it would ship in time to arrive before the start of the World Cup
Not quite. I placed a pre-order for two of them on that date - one for Jan, one for me. I cancelled that order today. Why? Because the jerseys won't arrive until sometime next week. Well, we'll be in GERMANY next week, so an arrival at that time is pretty much pointless for us.
As far as I'm concerned this is another example that the US soccer team is successful in spite, not because of, the US Soccer Federation.
Here are some shots of the jersey in action. I really wish we could've gotten these. Oh well, that's more money for wine and beer.
